During the last three years, Project Build Minnesota (PBM) has worked to present construction as a lucrative profession to high school students and young adults.
But we cannot do it alone. PBM needs volunteers.
Are you excited to go to work? PBM is looking for volunteers to share with students why working in the construction industry excites them.
We are looking for professionals from all areas of construction to share their stories, especially people of color, how they got into the field, and why they love their jobs.
PBM is partnering with BestPrep, a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization that provides educational programs to students in grades 4-12, to create video and livestream presentations.
We are also looking for volunteers to share their career story during recorded interviews with PBM staff. These stories are used on the PBM YouTube channel and may be used in this newsletter.
PBM also needs volunteers to serve on its committees – from the Board of Directors, fundraising, to marketing and outreach.
Do you like to meet new people? Our Outreach team attends career fairs and trade shows – most of them are currently virtual so you don’t even have to leave the office.
At trade shows you would be helping raise the awareness of PBM to your fellow industry professionals and people entering the industry.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact PBM at email@example.com.
