While the 2020-2021 school year has come to an end, the learning continues.
Project Build Minnesota has opened registration for the inaugural Minnesota Construction Teacher Conference.
The two-day conference, Sept.30 – Oct. 1 at Housing First Minnesota, 2960 Centre Pointe Drive, Roseville, is open to any career and technical instructors in the construction arena in Minnesota including middle school, high school, technical college, or four-year college level.
Trade instructors will be able to keep current on industry knowledge, strengthen relationships, and provide an opportunity for them to share best practices and tips for effective teaching.
It is also a chance for the trade instructors and people in the trades to create connections and expand educational and trade opportunities.
They will leave this conference with a realistic sense of the industry today, best practices, what a career in the trades involves, and can mean for their students. Instructions will also receive 8 continuing education units (CEUs.)
While the main conference will be taking place at Housing First Minnesota, Roseville, the conference includes two field trips.
Sept. 30, the group will be touring The Builders Group in Eagan.
Oct. 1, they will be touring a multi-million dollar home being constructed by John Kraemer & Sons.
Sponsorship
There are plenty of opportunities for the construction industry to be involved. The conference has several sponsorship opportunities for industry professionals to stand out.
