Fall is here but that is not slowing down the intrepid Explorers Post.
Project Build Minnesota will be joining its Explorers as they tour a commercial construction project by Bauer Design Build on Saturday, October 16, in Maple Grove.
Saturday’s event is hosted by Associated Builders and Contractors of Minnesota and North Dakota.
In September, the Explorers Post spent a morning with D & S Masonry and Concrete helping pour and shape concrete.
This Explorers Post was designed to allow the explorers to get hands-on experience with various construction trades, said Tammy Sakry, PBM staff member.
Over the next year, the Explorers will be getting an introduction to construction careers, safety training, residential construction, electrical careers, landscaping, and careers in lumber.
Saturday will be the second time this post has met, Sakry said.
PBM is hoping more youth sign up for the post and explore the exciting work of construction careers.
