Mason Mock, Northland Community and Technical College HVAC/Plumbing student, is one of 16 students awarded a 2020 Housing First Minnesota (HFM) and the Housing First Minnesota Foundation scholarship to help further their education and career goals within the residential home building industry. These students are pursuing their way into our industry and showing how bright and promising the future is for home construction.
The home building industry runs deep in Mason’s family with both of his grandfathers working in the trades – one as a contractor, while the other worked in concrete. His stepfather has taught him a lot by having him help hang sheetrock, do electrical work, just to name a few experiences.
“For the longest time I wanted to grow up and be like them, and with the career I have chosen, I believe I can fulfill that dream.”
