The Maintenance/Low Voltage Electrician is responsible for installing and maintaining wiring, fixtures and the fire alarm system
This position installs, adds to, alters, repairs, and maintains electrical wiring system, fire alarm system, and fixtures such as boxes, conduit, outlets, switch panels, incandescent and fluorescent fixtures, power plant controls, and elevators under the direction of the Journeyman Electrician
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND FUNCTIONS
Have familiarity with power and hand tools.
Be able to supervise and work with students.
Be able to assist with site preparation and tear down of special functions
Attend required training, seminars, and continuing education during off hours as needed.
Preform miscellaneous maintenance duties
Follow safety procedures and requirements at all times.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 50 Lbs. on occasion
Be able to work well at heights, bend, stoop, push, pull and climb on a regular basis and spend a significant time on foot.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have graduated from High School or have earned a GED certificate
Electrical experience a plus
Low voltage experience a plus
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must pass a criminal background check
